I created Penguin Gamer on 20th December 2016 though no content was uploaded for some time after this as I wanted to get the channel looking right first. I therefore commissioned a Logo and Banner design and commissioned Intro and Outro videos also to help enhance the quality of my videos I recorded. This took several months to get right. I then practiced doing videos and once I felt confident enough I published my first video on 8th March 2017. This was only a short tutorial video though took me much more time through the editing stage than I expected. This did not deter me though and I promptly released other game play videos of other games I had already.

In April I paid for some promotion of my you tube channel. This got me to over 100 subscribers and therefore I was able to get my own you tube channel name. Till this point I was known as "Penguin" though this channel was taken. I therefore added "Gamer" and this not only sounded better but also was available. Unfortunately though with this advertising of my you tube channel almost all the subscribers left very quickly, I believe this was purely as the advertising was done as cheaply as possible and as a result I got what I paid for, fake promotion. On the plus side I did get "Penguin Gamer" faster than without this promotion, so it was not a complete waste of money.

Later in April I paid more money to promote a single video. This was a success, within the next week I got over 2000 views and even got some Subscribers who are still following me. As a result I knew I had some reliable promotion should I wish to promote again at a later date.

In May I became highly addicted to an Online multi-player game that was in Alpha stage, I therefore stopped recording and uploading videos till July. Yes of course this was a big hit on my you tube channel and some regular subscribers left as a result. Though when I became active again in July I knew I had to remain active should this you tube channel be a success. I invested in a new game in August and this not only I found highly addictive I created a number of videos of this along with other games.

I decided that I should create a support website for my you tube channel in August and through an advert I heard on Truckers FM I purchased the domain www.penguin-gamer.co.uk with a heavy discount. I again did not want to rush the design of this website as again I knew to get the best from this I needed to design it right. I started designing this website on 1st September 2017 and it was lunched on 2nd November 2017 as I took time off my full time job in September 2017 to work on the website more though as I did this myself I also needed to learn how to do the coding so it looked and worked the way I wanted it to.

So what's to come now? Well obviously more videos and hopefully a great website for my fans to visit and interact with each other.
